Abstract

The realization of a physical arrangement study is an important action to ensure that the facilities are in accordance with the current legislation and with the processes performed by the organizations. The objective of this study is the elaboration of a physical arrangement project applied to a roasting and milling plant for special coffee, which follows the recommendations of standards established by the Ministry of Labor and Employment. The project considers the necessary resources, so that equipment and employees perform their functions efficiently. Regarding the methodology, the study presents an exploratory approach with the aid of computational programs for the development of the physical arrangement. The results obtained demonstrate that the analysis and knowledge of the productive processes are of extreme relevance for the adequate elaboration of a physical arrangement, that directly impacts the productive operations of a factory.
