“…There is no obvious absorption bands assigned to symmetric vibration of-OH groups and O-H vibration from H 2 O, indicate that a large number of-OH group and H 2 O are removed completed during the calcination process. Therefore, the Co 3 O 4 nanofibers show a strong absorption peaks at 667 cm À1 and 574 cm À1 which attributed to the stretching vibration of Co-O band [34,35]. It confirms the formation of high pure Co 3 O 4 nanofibers.…”

“…[18][19][20][21] Up to date, various types of preparation methods have been developed for the preparation of Co 3 O 4 by thermal decomposition, [6][7][8]20,22,23) chemical spray pyrolysis, 24) spattering, 25) and sol-gel process. [26][27][28] In contrast, liquid-phase synthesis of Co 3 O 4 particles has been of signi cant interests because the liquid phase process has large potentials to obtain highly puri ed and homogenized Co 3 O 4 particles. The resulting Co 3 O 4 particles controlled in their size, crystalline diameter, and morphology have been expected to exhibit unique material features.…”

“…Therefore the active outer sphere of Co-300 was mechanically removed and the resulting powder was used for the FTIR study. Co 3 O 4 is known to show two absorption bands with medium amplitude at specific positions (~550 and 650 cm -1 ) due to stretching vibration of the metal-O bond 54,55,56 . Indeed, these absorption bands can be clearly seen in our spectrum ( Figure S3) indicating that Co is octahedral surrounded by oxygen.…”
