Simple skin effect compensation in cylindrical shunts

Abstract: This paper proposes a new design solution for high-current shunt resistors aiming at optimizing the frequency response in a specified frequency range. It is based on a solid cylindrical shunt, whose sensing circuit runs through a straight hole drilled in the shunt itself.
