Silicon Chip-to-Chip Mode-Division Multiplexing

Abstract: Abstract:A chip-to-chip mode-division multiplexing connection is demonstrated using a pair of multiplexers/demultiplexers fabricated on the silicon-on-insulator platform. Successful mode multiplexing and demultiplexing is experimentally demonstrated, using the LP 01 , LP 11a and LP 11b modes.
