Stable and metastable iron silicide phases on Si(100)

“…The hdi and hDE Q i values of the as prepared 3 ML Fe-Si layer differ from the values of crystalline e-FeSi [23]. The hyperfine interaction and broad linewidth values of the as prepared layer agree with those obtained for amorphous and implanted (disordered) phase of Si 0.5 -Fe 0.5 [20,21]. Therefore, it is probable that the structure of the Fe-Si thin layer is disordered but its composition is close to FeSi.…”
