Abstract

The aim of this study is; To determine the steps to be applied by the enterprise in the institutionalization process and branding process, to reveal the stages followed in the institutionalization and branding processes and the current situation. In this study; by the data of Turkey Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB), there are 211 active as Insurance Agents showing activity in Samsun in 2020. Surveys were conducted on 124 of them, but the answers of 28 were deemed invalid and analysis was made on the answers of 96 of them. When the findings of the research are examined; it has been determined that participating enterprises have a constitution and that the person acts according to this constitution. When examined in terms of professionalism, it was determined that businesses are prone to specialization and to be managed by experts, they have a fair wage policy, but performance evaluation is not done correctly. When the organizational structure is examined, it has been determined that there are written business rules and structures where the employees learn the rules through certain tools. It is observed that the reward-penalty regulations and personnel promotion rules for the personnel are generally not implemented in the enterprises and the personnel have a lack of access to information on these issues. When the understanding and characteristics of management are examined, it has been determined that half of the enterprises have written missions and visions and these concepts are internalized by employees. Although the processes make their future goals long term, it has been determined that they do not use the institutionalization concepts in general. In the managerial phase, deficiencies were identified in taking the opinions of the personnel, including the employees in the processes and in the implementation of internal democracy. When the internal communication and internal control mechanisms are examined, there are deficiencies in the point where the companies use strong and effective communication channels, but the employees meet at a common point, produce solutions and the managers listen to the opinions of the employees. Businesses use a good communication channel unilaterally from top management to sub-management. On the other hand, despite the implementation of internal audit activities and effective communication with experts, the results are not shared with employees.
