“…Other TAHV seroreactors have been reported from Italy, Croatia, former Yugoslavia and Albania (Bárdoš & Šefčovičová, 1961; Labuda & Kožuch, 1982; Stevanovic et al, 2022). Between the 1980s and 1990s, the highest frequency of positive reactions to TAHV (50%–80%) was found in people living in the central part of European Russia, including zones with mixed and deciduous forests associated with flooding, where the antibody prevalence reached 30%–40% (Butenko et al, 1990; Kolobukhina et al, 1990).
