Watermarking scheme is an efficient solution to protect the multimedia document from unauthorized modification. Several watermarking scheme have been developed but authentication and tamper detection is still an important research issue. In this paper, a dual image‐based watermarking scheme has been developed using local binary pattern (LBP) to protect the multimedia document from illegal modification. The suggested method includes the following procedure: During watermark encoding the host image is partitioned into (3 × 3) nonoverlapping blocks. Then generate system vector (s) using LBP and perform XOR with secret watermark bits. Two bits authentication code is generated from S vector and embed within dual image depending in a shared secret key (δ). At the receiver end, the embedded watermark, authentication code, and original cover image can be successfully recovered from dual watermarked image. After that authentication process has been carried out by comparing extracted authentication code and the regenerated authentication code. The experimental results are compared with the state‐of‐the‐art methods to show the effectiveness of our proposed scheme. It is observed that the proposed scheme is secure and robust against different standard attacks meanwhile it can detect message integrity within the watermarked object.

Abstract-The main objective of watermarking method is to improve the robustness and imperceptibility. This paper introduces an improved CRT watermarking method using absolute value of interpolated wavelet coefficients aiming to improve the imperceptibility and robustness. The standard CRT method embeds the watermark bits on the blocks of pixels evenly. Hence, it can significantly reduce the quality of watermarked images when the watermark lies on the homogeneous area. Otherwise, the proposed method is embedding the watermark bits on the heterogeneous area by sorting the absolute magnitude of wavelet coefficients descending. The wavelet coefficients are selected from high frequency wavelet sub band HH. This scheme is able to determine the appropriate embedding location in certain range of value. The watermark bits are then embedding on the selected pixel value using CRT scheme. The result shows that the average imperceptibility value the CRT is 0.9980 while the proposed method has average value of 0.9993. On robustness against compression, the proposed method achieves better result compared to the CRT with the average NC values of 0.7916 higher than the CRT value of 0.7530. These prove that the proposed method has better performance in term of imperceptibility and robustness against compression than the CRT method.

Multimedia information (e.g., photos) is subject to numerous attacks when extensively dispersed, excellent stealth and robustness play a critical role in information concealment. Next, to further improve the imperceptibility of the generated images, we introduce an information embedding based on feature extraction, since the feature points themselves are robust as strong corner points in the images. We will perform specific practical applications in information-hiding scenarios, such as ticket anticounterfeiting, copyright protection, tampering hints, and covert marking. As a result, while assuring the accuracy of hidden data, assault resistance must also be addressed. In this paper, a strategy for watermark embedding utilizing image feature points is proposed. In principle, the embedding and extraction of digital watermarks are achieved in the transform domain by discrete wavelet transform processing to make digital images more robust than before. The effectiveness of the algorithm is analyzed by experimental data, in which different wavelet bases are used. To check the robustness of the watermarking algorithm, various attacks are performed on watermarked images.
