Signal transduction in osmotically induced hormone secretion

Abstract: Cell swelling caused by extracellular hyposmolarity or isosmolar permeant molecules (e.g., ethanol, urea, etc.) evokes immediate secretion of peptides and proteohormones stored in secretory vesicles.
