Signal-off electrochemiluminescence immunosensors based on the quenching effect between curcumin-conjugated Au nanoparticles encapsulated in ZIF-8 and CdS-decorated TiO2 nanobelts for insulin detection

Abstract: Curcumin-conjugated Au nanoparticles wrapped in zeolitic Zn2+-imidazolate cross-linked framework nanoparticles quenched the ECL of CdS-decorated TiO2 nanobelts.

“…As a promising semiconductor, TiO 2 has been widely used due to its good catalytic activity, good biocompatibility, low cost, and chemical stability. , Scientific researchers in the field of ECL noticed the excellent physical and chemical properties of TiO 2 . TiO 2 has the ability to catalyze the conversion of H 2 O 2 and dissolved O 2 into ROS by utilizing its oxygen vacancy. , Recently, TiO 2 composites with excellent properties have attracted much attention, such as CdS@TiO 2 , Cu-doped TiO 2 , Au/TiO 2 , AuAg/TiO 2 , and attapulgite–TiO 2 . Thus, it would be meaningful to find the excellent properties of TiO 2 composite material. As an emerging two-dimensional metal carbide, Ti 3 C 2 MXene has attracted attention since its discovery due to its good electrical conductivity, unique reducibility, stability, and large specific surface area. Our group took the lead in applying Ti 3 C 2 to the ECL biosensing system and carried out a series of studies on its properties. Inspired by the abovementioned work, we intend to use the reducibility and rich Ti sources on the surface of Ti 3 C 2 to prepare a Ti 3 C 2 –TiO 2 composite in situ, which could prevent the self-aggregation of TiO 2 .…”
