Abstract: Introduction Colon volvulus is the twisting of a segment of colon on its mesenteric axis, which can lead to the obstruction of the lumen and the blood supply. Colon volvulus is common in “volvulus belt” countries and can involve the sigmoid (60–70%) and cecum (25–40%).
