SIDE PANEL MANIPULATOR -construction and Installation

Abstract

Side panel manipulator is made for off line measurement in body shop. This manipulator will help to pick and place the side panel in robot cell very easily without any ergonomic problem or any other issues. In side panel manipulator all the work content is segregated mainly 70% mechanical component, 15% pneumatic and 15% electrical & automation. In this manipulator all the mechanical parts has made by our self. In the initial stage of side panel manipulator project in body shop off line measurement robot cell there was only manual operation. Two people or some time due to ergonomic problem three are person are required for this operation. They pick the side panel by shoulder and then place the side panel in robot cell's fixture. While doing this operation some issue such has aligning and connecting were solved.
