Side‐effects and Placental Function in Six Pregnant Women Treated with Ferastral®

Abstract: A pilot study has been carried out with a new parenteral iron preparation, Ferastral®, in six pregnant women who had previously experienced side‐effects to oral iron. Patients were selected with only marginal anaemia and whose Hb‐concentration (10.3–12.4 g/100 ml) could be considered to be in the low normal range for pregnancy.
