Short‐term vs long‐term dual antiplatelet therapy after drug‐eluting stent implantation in patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention: A systematic review and meta‐analysis

Abstract: Acute coronary syndrome (ACS) is a major cause of morbidity and mortality and accounts for >2.5 million hospitalisations annually worldwide. 1,2 The cumulative total mortality rate at 5 years is 18% in ACS. 3 Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is the key therapy for ACS.
