Short-Term Corneal Endothelial Changes after Laser-Assisted Subepithelial Keratectomy

Abstract: To investigate the short-term effects of laser-assisted subepithelial keratectomy (LASEK) on the corneal endothelium, 10 patients undergoing LASEK for myopia without complications (20 eyes) were observed. Each eye was evaluated by slitlamp biomicroscopy and non-contact specular microscopy pre-operatively, and at 15 min, 1 day and 1 week postoperatively.
