Short communication: Development of a new polymorphic genetic marker in Araucaria araucana (Mol) K. Koch

Abstract: Seed storage proteins have been used as genetic marker in forest species to evaluate genetic variability, demonstrating its effectiveness both in conifers and broad-leaved. In conifers, megagametophyte storage proteins are particularly useful because of their haploid nature.
