Abstract:Tehuelche scallop, Aequipecten tehuelchus, is a commercially exploited species in Northern Patagonia, Argentina. Without genetic differentiation at the species level, A. tehuelchus presents three morphotypes: tehuelchus, madrynensis, and a non-common variant felipponei.
