Abstract:Pedada fruit (Sonneratia caseolaris) contains phytochemicals such as steroids, tripenoids and flavonoids. Phytochemical compounds are antioxidants that neutralize free radicals that attack body cells. The application of making pedada fruit jam with the addition of carrageenan can function as a natural preservative.
