A numerical tool has been developed in order to predict the influence of the main processing parameters on the mechanical behavior of SiC/SiC [0° ,90°] laminates. The contrast between the brittle properties of 90° plies and the damage properties of 0° plies has been taken into account as well as the particular morphology of this type of composite processed by chemical vapor infiltration. The model which has been proposed represents the different features and sequences of laminate damage behavior.
