Sharing the Nature: Mammals and Neighbor Human Population of a Protected Area in the Atlantic Forest, Brazil

Abstract: The establishment of protected areas is central for biodiversity conservation, but it may cause conflicts between the environmental agencies and the local citizens. In this study we aimed to survey the medium and large sized mammals in an Atlantic Forest protected area located in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
