AORN'S STATE COUNCILS were formed to create opportunities for collaboration and networking, as well as perioperative education, at a state level. DURING THEIR HISTORY, AORN's state councils have actively monitored and pursued legislation at the state level. THIS ARTICLE lists some of the accomplishments of various state councils and provides information on forming state councils. AORN J 78 (November 2003) 808–815.
