Abstract:Towards the goal of developing renewable, biocompatible and intelligent polymer materials, natural Eucommia ulmoides gum (EUG) was modified via epoxidation and then the epoxidized EUG (EEUG) was compounded with another sustainable and biobased polymer, polylactic acid (PLA), to develop shape memory thermoplastic vulcanizates (TPVs) through reactive blending. The prepared PLA/EEUG TPVs displayed not only enhanced toughness but also greatly improved shape recovery ability, which was generated from the co‐continu… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
