Resumen: La reconstrucción tridimensional (3D) es una temática que constantemente produce un alto interés científico, y proporciona información para aplicaciones médicas, industriales e investigativas, entre otras. En el presente trabajo, desarrollado en conjunto por el GIMAT y el GOTS de la Universidad Industrial de Santander, se propone implementar un sistema de reconstrucción 3D en aplicaciones de exploración superficial de tuberías con refuerzo no metálico para el transporte de hidrocarburos. El sistema de reconstrucción está formado por una cámara CCD, un proyector portable y un computador portátil y se basa en la técnica de proyección de franjas. Los resultados muestran que el sistema desarrollado se puede implementar para llevar a cabo aplicaciones metrológicas en la industria petrolera.Palabras clave: Reconstrucción tridimensional, Proyección de franjas, Transporte de hidrocarburos. In this paper, it is proposed to implement a three-dimensional reconstruction system for applications in superficial inspection of non-metallic piping for the hydrocarbons transport. The system is formed by a CCD camera, a projector and a laptop and it is based on fringe projection technique. The results show that the developed system can be implemented to carry out metrological applications in the oil industry.

This paper presents a 3D small-field imaging system by using the color fringe projection technique to measure the small objects having large slopes and/or discontinuous surface. A stereo microscope is used to generate a small-field projecting field and to capture the deformed fringe patterns on the measured small objects, respectively. Three fringe sets having the optimum fringe numbers are coded into one major color channel to generate color fringe patterns having the maximum fringe contrast of the captured fringe images. Through one channel of the stereo microscope, a DLP (Digital Light Processing) projector projects these generated color fringe pattern images onto the measured objects surface. From another channel, the fringe patterns are deformed with regard to the object surface and captured by a color CCD camera. The absolute phase of each pixel can be calculated from the captured fringe patterns by using the optimum three-fringe numbers selection method. Experimental results on measuring 3D shape of small objects show the accuracy and availability of the developed 3D imaging system.
