Severe ingrown toenail with hypertrophic skin bridging: A case report and review of the literature

Abstract: We present a case report of an 18-year-old male who was diagnosed with a chronic non-congenital ingrown toenail to his right hallux with skin bridging spanning the mid-portion of the nail plate. The patient elected to pursue surgical correction and underwent a Winograd procedure under monitored anesthesia care. The incision sites healed without incident.
