Abstract:Epigenome changes in chronic states of cardiovascular stress including diabetes, pressure overload and cardiomyopathies frequently involve changes in open chromatin and post-translation modifications of histone lysine residues at specific amino acid positions by acetylation, methylation and phosphorylation.
