The aim of the study is to follow up a number of biochemical, immunological and physiological changes associated with vitamin D deficiency in pregnant women. 50 samples were collected from pregnant women, 50 from control group and 50 from non-pregnant women. A number of laboratory tests were carried out on the withdrawn blood samples. These tests examined the ELISA to measure vitamin D concentration. The concentration of vitamin D in the pregnant women group, control group and the non-pregnant women group (26.31,43.97,50.9) were found to be Nano mole / L respectively, indicating a decrease in vitamin D concentration in pregnant women compared to the control group. The results of the present study showed a significant decrease in the volume of the red blood cells in the three studied groups at the probability level P <0.05 where the average ratio of the volume of the red blood cells in the group of pregnant women and control group and the group of non-pregnant women was (40.0, 39.7,37.3 ) % respectively. The results of the comparison between the two groups showed no significant differences in the size of the size of the red blood cells in the three studied groups at the probability level P <0.05. The results of the statistical analysis showed significant differences in the blood platelet counts in the three studied groups at the P <0.05 level. The mean number of the blood platelet counts in the pregnant women group, control group and the non-pregnant women group were ( 222, 237,208) X1000/mm 3 respectively. Comparison between the two groups showed no significant differences in the number of thrombocytes in the three studied groups at the probability level P <0.05.The results of the statistical analysis showed a significant increase in the number of white blood cells in the blood of pregnant women and non-pregnant women at the probability level P <0.05 compared to the control group and the average number of white blood cells in the pregnant women group, control group and the group of non-pregnant women (35.0, 9.08, 10.6 ) cell/mm 3 respectively. A significant decrease in the IgE concentrations in the three studied groups at the level of probability P <0.05 and the average IgE concentration in pregnant women's blood and control and non-pregnant women (82.20,90.6, 79.8) U / L respectively, where no significant differences between the three studied groups at the probability level P <0.05. In the case of CRP, the results of the effective C test in the serum of the three studied groups showed that all samples had a negative result. Allergic diseases like asthma, allergic rhinitis, food allergy, hymenoptera allergy, or atopic dermatitis are highly prevalent in women of childbearing age and may affect up to 30% of this age group. This review focuses on the management of allergic diseases during pregnancy. Furthermore, we discuss the challenges of counseling women with allergic diseases in the reproductive age, including considerations relevant to the ongoing SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. To create the optimal milieu for the unborn child, a multitude of immunological changes occur during pregnancy which may favor type 2 responses and aggravate disease phenotypes. In co-occurrence with suboptimal preconception disease control, this elevated Th2 responses may aggravate allergic disease manifestations during pregnancy and pose a risk for mother and child. Due to limitations in conducting clinical trials in pregnant women, safety data on anti-allergic drugs during pregnancy are limited. The lack of information and concerns among pregnant patients demands counseling on the benefits of anti-allergic drugs and the potential and known risks. This includes information on the risk for mother and child of disease aggravation in the absence of treatment. By doing so, informed decisions and shared decision-making can take place.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the role of potential autoimmune mechanisms in the pathogenesis of preeclampsia by investigating the coexistence of celiac disease in patients. Material and Methods: Forty women diagnosed with preeclampsia and forty non-complicated pregnant women were enrolled in this prospective, cross-sectional, casecontrol study. Both groups were compared for any allergic disease symptoms, serological markers of celiac disease, total Ig A and total Ig E levels. Two years later, the mothers were questioned about the presence of allergic diseases in their babies. Results: There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups for serological markers of celiac disease. However, total IgE levels of the preeclampsia group were significantly higher than that of the control group. Conclusion: In this study, we did not ascertain any coexistence of celiac disease and preeclampsia. Nevertheless, we suggest that the increased IgE levels in the preeclampsia group might be accepted as an indicator of the immune pathogenesis of preeclampsia and a potential marker for coexisting allergic diseases. Amaç: Bu çalışmada preeklampsi patogenezindeki potansiyel immun mekanizmaların, hastalarda çölyak hastalığı bulunup bulunmamasıyla değerlendirmesi amaçlanmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntem: Kesitsel, vaka kontrolü ve prospektif çalışmaya preeklampsi tanısı konmuş 40 gebe ve 40 komplikasyonu olmayan gebe alındı. Her iki grup alerjik hastalık semptomları, çölyak hastalığına ait serolojik belirteçler, total Ig A ve total Ig E düzeyleri yönünden karşılaştırıldı. İki yıl sonra anneler bebeklerinde alerjik hastalık varlığı açısından sorgulandı. Bulgular: Çölyak hastalığına özgü serolojik belirteçleri açısından karşılaştırıldığında iki grup arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark bulunmadı. Ancak, çalışma grubundaki toplam IgE düzeyleri kontrol grubununkilere göre anlamlı olarak daha yüksek olarak gözlendi. Sonuç: Bu çalışmada, çölyak hastalığı ve preeklampsi birlikteliğine ait net olarak herhangi bir sonuç bulunmadı. Ancak, preeklampsi grubunda artmış IgE düzeylerinin, bu hastalığın immün patogenezine ait bir işaret olabileceğini ve eşlik eden alerjik hastalıklara ait potansiyel bir belirteç olarak kabul edilmesini öneriyoruz.
