Serum Leptin Concentration and Lipid Profiles in Puerto Rican Bardet-Biedl Syndrome

Abstract

Bardet-Biedl syndrome (BBS, MIMU209900) is an autosomal recessive disease of unknown etlology that exh~bits phenotypic and genetic heterogene~ty. Characterist~c clinical features includes retinitis pigmentosa, obes~ty, hypogenital~sm. polydactyly, and mental retardat~on. We have studied 7 large inbred families in Puerto Rico (PR) w~th '
