Serum Bilirubin and Bilirubin/Albumin Ratio as Predictors of Bilirubin Encephalopathy

Abstract: WHAT'S KNOWN ON THIS SUBJECT: Jaundiced newborns without additional risk factors rarely develop kernicterus if the total serum bilirubin is ,25 mg/dL.
