Abstract:Background: The knowledge of the incidence of blood Transfusion Transmissible Infections (TTIs) such as Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Human Immunodeficiency Virus infection, malaria and syphilis is essential for monitoring the safety of blood supply.
