[11] Male predominance of HBsAg virus infection as compared with the female might be probably due to the higher exposure of male to occupational HBV indicating horizontal transmission, which may be due to unsafe injection practices, intravenous drug abuse, unsafe sexual practices and also probably because females clear the HBV more efficiently as compared to males.
