“…The determination of age associated antibody levels against B. pertussis is important in deciding the target age group for booster vaccination as well as for the study of disease epidemiology [15]. Our results suggest that a recent pertussis infection or reinfection after waning immunity exists among young or future parents, as well as among other elderly family members, similar to other authors' findings [7,15,17,18]. In our research, we found that anti-PT IgG levels ≥ 125 IU/mL were registered among three subjects (two men and one woman) aged over 60 years.…”
