Serological Differences Between Related Species of Snails

Abstract: The presence of B substance in saline extracts of albumen glands of Helix pomatia has been reported by Kim et al. [5] and the agglutination of Hela cells by anti-Aiiei mentioned by Uhlenbruck et al. [10]. We report in this paper serological differences between related species of snails revealed by haemolysis, agglutination of Hela cells and presence of B-like substance.
