“…These ligands also occupy an important place in the design of complexes containing transition metals for interpretation of the role of metal ions role in biological inorganic systems . Moreover, the synthesis and luminescent, molecular and magnetic properties of some coordination polymers based on phenanthroline ligands, phthalate and bipyridinyl co‐ligands have been reported …”

“…[17][18][19][20][21] A large number of CPs containing N-and O-mixed bridging ligands have been reported previously. [22][23][24] Among them, dicarboxylates are found to be prominent bridging ligands for the creation of polynuclear Co II clusters as the core accumulation induced by carboxyl groups may link these discrete clusters into extended networks, that will generate magnetically coupled pathways among paramagnetic Co II ions. [25,26] Therefore, with the intention of understanding the coordination chemistry of the conformationally flexible bicarboxylate ligand and nitrogen containing auxiliary ligand, we started to elaborate a new CP assembled from 5-benzyllamino-isophthalic acid (H 2 L) and 1,4-bis(4-pyridinylmethyl)piperazine (bpmp) ligand.…”

“…It is well known that the nature of the divalent metal ions, anionic carboxylate ligands, and the presence of nitrogen donor co‐ligands such as 1,4‐bis(4‐pyridinylmethyl)piperazine (bpmp) continues to spur probing synthetic examinations because of their efficacious properties and remarkable structural aesthetics of resulting CPs [17–21] . A large number of CPs containing N‐ and O‐mixed bridging ligands have been reported previously [22–24] . Among them, dicarboxylates are found to be prominent bridging ligands for the creation of polynuclear Co II clusters as the core accumulation induced by carboxyl groups may link these discrete clusters into extended networks, that will generate magnetically coupled pathways among paramagnetic Co II ions [25,26] …”

“…Recent studies revealed the attractive 3D framework and excellent catalytic properties of cobalt and manganese based metal-organic frameworks, [24][25][26][27] which were synthesized by aromatic ligands. But MOFs with aliphatic ligands as a linker and its applications are rarely found in the literature survey.…”
