“…It is noted that these values are comparable to those (63-90%) for U electrodeposition on a solid electrode in LiCl-KCl melt. 27 This result indicates that most of the current was exclusively spent for the Gd electrodeposition at these potentials where bulk carbon electrodes lead to a significant extent of Li intercalation reaction. Figure 6(b) shows that the cathodic peak currents and square root of the scan rates for the Gd electrodeposition are in an excellent linear relationship (R 2 = 0.9992).…”

“…2, it appeared that the cathodic current of Electrochemistry, 82(6), 462-466 (2014) the graphene electrode started slightly increasing around ¹1.95 V. Therefore, it is supposed that the Gd electrodeposition may take place simultaneously with the Li intercalation reaction. In order to evaluate the influence of the Li intercalation reaction on the Gd electrodeposition reaction, we performed the Gd electrodeposition experiments using chronoamperometry (CA) and measured the current efficiency for the Gd electrodeposition on the graphene electrode by comparing the total charges passed during the Gd electrodeposition 27 and the electrodeposited Gd amount ( Table 1). The total charges were obtained by the integration of the CA results.…”

“…[11][12][13][14] Since the separation of uranium and TRUs from rare-earth elements in simulating chlorination product salt was demonstrated by reductive-extraction method, it was confirmed that the pyropartitioning process can meet the goal. 15,16) To start the engineering-scale examination, there are some concerns that need to be addressed as follows.…”
