Séparation chromatographique par des gels de polystyrène preparés par réticulation anionique

Abstract: Chromatographic columns were filled with anionically prepared polystyrene gels of various porosities. Linear polystyrene samples were injected in these columns and the retention volumes were measured. Normalized curves have been compared, the dynamic partition coefficient being plotted wersus the logarithm of the molecular weight of the injected polymer. It has been established that the domain of molecular weights in which chromatographic separation may take place depends upon the parameters characterizing the… Show more

“…The types and uses of GPC column packings have been reviewed (111,117). The properties of polystyrene gels for GPC are affected by diluent andco-monomers (200,277) used in preparation. Other organic polymer gels have been found useful for GPC separations (59,114,119), many based on vinyl acetate (115,116,118,218).…”

“…DEAE-Sephadex A-25 was used for the separation of steroids (581) and nucleic acid derivatives ( 1146), Sephadex G-10 (CM) for aflatoxins (875), Sephadex G-25 eluted with phenol-acetic acid-water (1:1:1) for acidic plant constituents (787), hydroxyalkoxypropyl Sephadex for fatsoluble vitamins (547), mercurated dextran for mononucleotides (499), and a double column of anion-exchange resin and Sephadex LH-20 for measurement of serum triiodothyronine (844)• Porasil and Styragel packings gives approximately equivalent results (1046), and Merkogel SI has good properties (1041) for high speed gel permeation chromatography. Other suitable packings include porous glasses (260, 1625), polystyrene gels prepared by anionic polymerization (1571), porous alumina (49, 50, 1209), and carbon molecular sieves (662). The synthesis of styrenedivinylbenzene (871,995), ethyl(vinyl)benzene-divinylbenzene, and vinyl acetate-divinyl adipate (559, 560) polymeric porous gels has been described.…”
