Sentinel node in breast cancer as an indicator of quality in medical care: Evaluation of statistics in Colombia

Abstract: BACKGROUND: Sentinel lymph node biopsy in breast cancer is considered the standard of staging in cases of clinically negative lymph nodes. Its omission in favor of axillary dissection generates significant morbidity.
