“…LDA can be considered as an emergent clustering method to obtain a soft (multi‐membership) clustering of documents (Brusco, Steinley, Cradit, & Singh, ). It is suitable for both exploratory content analysis (as in Lee, Qiu, & Whinston, ) and theory guided content analysis by incorporating prior knowledge in the model fitting process, as we demonstrated in our research.…”

“…There has been extensive research on online reviews in the last decade. Some recent studies have looked at the credibility and manipulation of online reviews (e.g., Guan et al 2020, Kumar et al 2018, Lee et al 2018, Luca and Zervas 2016), factors that affect the production of online reviews (Wang et al 2019), strategic provision of collaborative services under online reviews (Sun and Xu 2018), and the extraction of value from online reviews (Abrahams et al 2015, Chan et al 2016, Chen et al 2016). Different from these studies, this study contributes to the stream of research that focuses on the effect of online reviews on consumer purchase decision.…”

“…Usually, the corresponding task is delegated to those departments with the skills, resources, ongoing responsibilities, and contractual and effective dominion. Lee et al (2018) explore the manipulation of sentiment on Twitter, recognizing film marketers' incentives to influence online information prior to release accordingly. However, considering the specific decisions and contextual framing of a producer's work, there is less clarity and detail with regard to the insights to be gained and applications to be derived from the ubiquitous WOM data.…”

“…While the role is difficult to narrowly define (Noam 2018), film producers oversee numerous aspects throughout the entire production phase, such as selecting scripts and talents, securing financing, and coordinating directing and editing. Essentially, they are the strategic enablers of creative ideas and organizers of the ideas' realizations (Lee et al 2018). While independent producers may face distinct challenges compared to studio producers, the goal of producing compelling contents that accomplish financial success remains universal.…”
