“…As far as we know there are no previous records for atrazine EC50 for the microalgal species tested in our study. However, there are results for other Chlorophyceae species such as Scenedesmus arcuatus (EC50 = 48.95 µg L −1 ), Scenedesmus quadricauda (EC50 = 86.37 µg L −1 ) (Chin et al, 2019), Clamydomonas reinhardtii (EC50 = 77.6 µg L −1 ) (Harshkova et al, 2021), and Selenastrum capricornutum (EC50 = 23 µg L −1 ) (Zhao et al, 2018). In these studies microalgae were exposed to atrazine over 72 or 96 h and the endpoint analyzed was growth inhibition.…”
