Sensitivity of Internal-Tide Generation to Stratification and Its Implication for Deep Overturning Circulations

Abstract: The simple scaling relation for internal-tide generation proposed by Jayne and St. Laurent is widely used for parameterizing turbulent mixing induced by breaking of internal tides.
