Sensitivity analysis for automotive EMC measurements using quasistatic Darwin model

Abstract: Purpose The purpose of this paper is performing a global sensitivity analysis for automotive electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) measurements related to the CISPR 25 setup in order to examine the effect of the setup uncertainties on the resonance phenomenon. Design/methodology/approach An integral equation formulation is combined with Darwin model and special Green’s functions to model the configuration. The method of Sobol’ indices is used to gain sensitivity factors enhanced with a polynomial chaos metamod… Show more

“…The input parameters were chosen again to look into the ±10% setup uncertainties with respect to the recommendations and requirements of the [3] standard as it is usually done in uncertainty quantification (UQ) studies, e.g., [16], but with an extended parameter set. The input parameter descriptions are listed in Tab.…”

“…The input parameters, which are listed in Table 1, were chosen to look into the ±10% setup uncertainties with respect to the recommendations and requirements of the ISO 11452–11 (2010) standard as it is usually done in uncertainty quantification studies, e.g. Bingler et al (2021). The quantities φTX,ϑTX,ΔyTX,Δxstirrer and Δystirrer denote the TX antenna-related parameters such as the angular positions in azimuth and elevation directions, the displacement along y -axis, in addition, the displacement of the stirrer along the x - and y -axes, respectively.…”

“…Some attempts were made to introduce novel global SA methods (Marelli and Sudret, 2014) to the field of EMC measurements performed in ACs, e.g. Bingler et al (2021Bingler et al ( , 2022b. The main contribution of this work is the extension of the application area of the method of Sobol' indices (Sobol, 1993) to RCs.…”
