Sensitive detection of cardiac troponin T based on superparamagnetic bead-labels using a flexible micro-fluxgate sensor

Abstract: In this study, we describe an innovative micro-fluxgate immunosensor based on superparamagnetic Dynabeads for the detection of cardiac troponin T (cTnT), an important biomarker for cardiovascular diseases.

“…In Figure S6, XPS data of the surface of the Au LSPR strip present the appearance of S and N peaks after MUA and IL-10 antibody were treated, respectively. We observed the increased N signal implying that IL-10 antibody was successfully conjugated with the Au LSPR strip (Guo et al, 2017). Figure 5 shows the extinction spectrum demonstrating the colloidal AuNC-based ELISA on the double-bent Au LSPR strip.…”

“…The S and N signal peaks appeared after the MUA and anti-CFH antibody treatment. The IgG antibody has four polypeptide chains and peptides composed of several amino acids; thus, the N signal peaks arise from the anti-CFH antibody immobilized on the AuNM surface . The main provider of S signal peaks was MUA, which consisted of the thiol group and served as a bridge to connect the AuNMs and the antibodies.…”

In addition, the AuNM−antibody modification was also examined using a fluorescence microscope.…”

“…For application purposes, Guo et al applied the flexible fluxgate sensors for the detection of cardiac troponin T (cTnT), an important biomarker for cardiovascular diseases. 191 In their work, the fluxgate sensor incorporates a double layer of Co-based amorphous ribbons as the sensing element along with three-dimensional solenoid copper coils (one sensing coil and two excitation coils) for sensitive core control, as shown in Figure 9B(a) and 9B(b). The fluxgate sensor was fabricated via standard microfabrication techniques such as photolithography and electroplating.…”
