Semitransparent Fully Air Processed Perovskite Solar Cells

Abstract: PSS aqueous solution. The semitransparent perovskite solar cells yield a power conversion efficiency of 10.1% at an area of about 0.06 cm(2) and 2.9% at an area of 1 cm(2). The device structure and the fabrication technique provide a facile way to produce semitransparent perovskite solar cells.

“…[16–18] It is well known that halide perovskites are sensitive to polar solvents and humidity. [14,15] Therefore, these lamination concepts cannot be directly adopted for the fabrication of PSCs. Recently, however, organic-solvent based PEDOT was successively coated directly on the perovskite and was tested as hole-extraction layer and interlayer between the hole-transporting material and a metal grid electrode.…”

“…The intensity of these assigned peaks in perovskite increases in the presence of P(VDF‐TrFE), which points its role in inducing high degree of crystallinity. This can be ascribed to the delay in PbI 2 crystallization by the addition of P(VDF‐TrFE), which enhances the interaction between PbI 2 and MAI to allow the formation of MAPbI 3 with improved crystallization due to the ferroelectric properties of the polymer . The diffraction peaks at 37.88° corresponds to the fluorine doped tin oxide (FTO) electrodes.…”

“…[102][103][104][105][106] However, in this approach, the vacuum deposition process is indispensably required for preparing thin metal films and the presence of metallic layers causes inevitable decreases in transmittance. [101] Therefore, a variety of top electrodes including AZO, [107] ITO, [108][109][110] In 2 O 3 :H, [111] PEDOT:PSS, [112,113] graphene, [114] CNT, [115] and MeNWs [87][88][89][91][92][93][94][95]97,[116][117][118][119] have been investigated for fabricating high-performance semi-transparent PSCs. When they are compared in the plot presenting the interdependency between AVT and PCE (Figure 3), it can be noticed that the semi-transparent cells employing AgNW-network top electrodes are in the top-right area, where highly transparent and high-functioning cells are positioned.…”
