“…In the present study, there was a striking association of seminoma with subsequent renal cell cancer, and curiously, in group B of the present investigation, there were 2 more renal carcinomas preceding seminoma. This association was also found in the largest series of second tumors after testicular cancer [6]and in several other reports, and testicular malignancies were the majority of these seminomas [36, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, 51]. Other studies, however, failed to find a significantly increased occurrence of renal tumors in cohorts of testicular cancer patients [4, 5, 35, 52].…”

“…25 nontesticular malignancies occurred in a total of 23 patients (3.9%; 95% confidence intervals ± 1.6%), 3 of whom have been discussed in previous communications [30][31][32], Among the 25 NTMs, there were 16 histological ly different tumors. Bladder cancer and bronchogenic car cinoma occurred each 3 times.…”

“…There are 12 reports of patients having simultaneous testicular and renal malignancy [5][6][7][8][9]. Metachronous malignant neoplasms developing after treatment for testicular germ cell tumours are uncommon, but the development of a renal cell carcinoma after a previous testicular tumour is particularly rare.…”
