Seminar at the scientific level: results of a survey of students about the course “Research Seminar” in the master’s program “Software Engineering and Cybernetics”

Abstract

The article presents the results of a survey of students in the master's program "Software Engineering and Cybernetics" in the course "Research Seminar". The survey was conducted to determine students' expectations and wishes from the course. As a result, we found that students expected a deeper understanding of research activities from the course, as well as more active participation in scientific projects. They also want the course to include more practical tasks and more opportunities to interact with professors and peers. We hope that our results and suggestions will help improve the course and provide more effective research training for students in the Software Engineering and Cybernetics master's program
