This study delves into the realm of learning from tutoring and extends existing research by introducing augmented concept mapping as an innovative strategy to enhance peer learning in preparing for tutoring. The paper provides a concise overview of the current design of pedagogically augmented concept maps and their integration with Semantic Web and derived technologies for the iterative development of knowledge maps. This research represents an ongoing endeavour with the primary objective of developing graphical organisers to support student tutors in designing tutoring plans before actual tutorials in the form of concept maps and knowledge maps. It serves a dual purpose, aiming to facilitate individual tutor learning and promote collective knowledge construction. The main contribution of this presentation lies not only in the potential for synthesising concept mapping and semantic knowledge mapping, but also in the integration of content learning, such as the domain of hydrology in this study, with dialogical tutoring interaction during peer tutoring preparation

Huge advances in peer-to-peer systems and attempts to develop the semantic web have revealed a critical issue in information systems across multiple domains: the absence of semantic interoperability. Today, businesses operating in a digital environment require increased supply-chain automation, interoperability, and data governance. While research on the semantic web and interoperability has recently received much attention, a dearth of studies investigates the relationship between these two concepts in depth. To address this knowledge gap, the objective of this study is to conduct a review and bibliometric analysis of 3511 Scopus-registered papers on the semantic web and interoperability published over the past two decades. In addition, the publications were analyzed using a variety of bibliometric indicators, such as publication year, journal, authors, countries, and institutions. Keyword co-occurrence and co-citation networks were utilized to identify the primary research hotspots and group the relevant literature. The findings of the review and bibliometric analysis indicate the dominance of conference papers as a means of disseminating knowledge and the substantial contribution of developed nations to the semantic web field. In addition, the keyword co-occurrence network analysis reveals a significant emphasis on semantic web languages, sensors and computing, graphs and models, and linking and integration techniques. Based on the co-citation clustering, the Internet of Things, semantic web services, ontology mapping, building information modeling, bioinformatics, education and e-learning, and semantic web languages were identified as the primary themes contributing to the flow of knowledge and the growth of the semantic web and interoperability field. Overall, this review substantially contributes to the literature and increases scholars’ and practitioners’ awareness of the current knowledge composition and future research directions of the semantic web field.

Choosing the right university program can be very challenging for students. This is especially the case in developing countries such as India and Pakistan, where university admission depends on not only the program of interest but also other factors such as the candidate's financial standing. Since information on the Internet can be highly scattered, university candidates often need counseling from qualified people to decide their educational programs. Traditional database systems cannot effectively organize the large unstructured data related to university programs. It is challenging, then, for prospective students to acquire the information needed to make good decisions to consider factors such as personal preferences, available options, and the job market. This study proposes an integrated framework that takes advantage of the latest ontology-based semantic technologies. The proposed system can efficiently extract user-specific constraints in unambiguous queries and then retrieve more precise information. The system uses Web sources to ingest the right information and then extract explicit and implicit knowledge about educational domains and related university offerings. We believe the proposed system can effectively and efficiently choose an educational program by incorporating user constraints.
