Self-tuning control of the milling cutting process in industrial CNC machines

Abstract: Adaptive control in machining systems leads to an increased production rate as well as tool breakage prevention.Nevertheless, most achievements in adaptive control for cutting processes are limited to laboratory environments; they are seldom to be implemented directly in CNC machines.
