Self-Switching in Single-Heterojunction Injection Lasers

Abstract: Although the IPTS-68 is meant to be a close approximation to thermodynamic temperatures, its definition makes no provision for continuity in dt/dt68 at 630.74 " C . Any discontinuity in dt/dt68 at 630.74 " C is directly related to the corresponding discontinuity in the first derivative with respect to t6g of sensor output, so the former can be obtained from measurement of the latter. The magnitude of the discontinuity has not previously been measured precisely: it has an important bearing on elucidating the be… Show more

“…For an isotropic material such as permalloy, K 1 4 µ 0 M 2 s [35]. In particular, for permalloy, M s 800 kA/m [36], so that the threshold is given approximately by 1 4 µ 0 M s 0.25 T. We note that early experiments on domain-wall motion in iron-garnet films at applied fields above the anisotropy threshold [37,38] indicate a sublinear velocity response compatible with (16). Radiation damping at high fields is discussed in a related theoretical work [39].…”

“…In the present paper, the motion of isolated VBLs along straight walls of the parallel stripe array in response to a pulsed magnetic in-plane field, H i p r (parallel to the wall) is studied by the methods of laser high-speed photography [9] and anisotropic dark field observation.…”
