Self‐Supporting Acoustoelectronic Pulses Driven by Optical Excitation of a Semiconductor in the Transparency Region

Abstract: It is shown that the electron-phonon interaction under certain circumstances can lead to the existence of moving self-consistent distributions of lattice deformation and carrier density which are supported by an external optical excitation. They are moving towards the source of light with an intensitydependent velocity of the order of the sound velocity. The conditions of existence and the stability of such structures are investigated.') Prospekt Nauki 45, SU-252065 Kiev, USSR.
