Abstract:Open quantum systems as modeled by quantum channels and quantum Markov semigroups usually decay to subspaces that are invariant under environmental interactions. It is known that finite-dimensional semigroups with detailed balance decay exponentially under modified logarithmic-Sobolev inequalities (MLSIs).
