It involves daily self-rating by patients, and rather than completing a questionnaire on symptoms, ChronoRecord requires patients to rate their mood on a visual analogue scale ranging from 0 to 100, which has been validated against some clinical ratings, for example, the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale and the Young Mania Rating Scale 15.
